Testosterone Hormone Therapy.

Men can begin to have decreased levels of testosterone in their 20's and start experiencing symptoms immediately! Contrary to popular belief, decreased libido is not the only nor is it the most common symptom affected by low T levels.  Feeling tired, unmotivated, depressed? Experiencing less gains and a slower recovery when hitting the gym? You may have low testosterone!

We closely follow Dr. John Crisler's protocol for testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) including the initial required laboratory exams, testosterone dosing, the continually follow up, as well as, initiating additional therapies as appropriate for each individual.

We do require current lab work in order to start therapy and we work with SpectraCell for the most comprehensive, affordable and detailed report.

If Testosterone is recommended you have two options for administration:

$200 per month which includes cost of medication and administration (four-weekly visits)

$200 for a written prescription with office visit after lab review*

*Patient will self administer medication. Each Vial contains approximately 10 doses.

Please also note that we offer a generous discount for Government Officials such as: Police Officers, Fire Fighters and Teachers.

human chorionic gonadotropin

Human Chorionic Gonadotropin or hCg is not only used in our weight loss program but has its place in testosterone treatment as well. We closely follow the Crisler Protocol (click Learn More below for full article). "Testosterone cypionate provides a 5-8 day half-life, depending upon the specific metabolism, activity level, and overall health of the patient. It is now well-established that appropriate TRT using IM injections must be dosed at weekly intervals, in order to avoid seating the patient on a hormonal, and emotional, roller coaster. Adding in some hCg toward the end of the weekly “cycle” compensates for the drop in serum androgen levels..." John Crisler, D.O. Adding hCG therapy for our TRT patients also helps to keep sperm counts at regular levels and helps the patient avoid testicular atrophy.

Additionally, we have had great success in providing hCg to patients with low testosterone levels but who were not candidates for testosterone treatment. This is typically due to a history of prostate or testicular cancer. One specific study we were able to double natural testosterone levels with three times weekly injections of hCg.  Please call for more information and whether hCG may be the right option for you!

Legal vs. Illegal Testosterone replacement

So often I am asked questions regarding "Steroids" which is not the same thing that we provide at OTS. Legal testosterone is dosed and regulated by a medical professional, in this case, your nurse practitioner. Testosterone is only given to individuals with truly low testosterone levels and is DOSE appropriately to achieve "normal" levels of testosterone.  Dosing is key in safe and unsafe uses of testosterone or steroids. With legal and medically supervised treatment, you will not be "cycling" or going on and off testosterone therapy. Once we achieve a good testosterone level, we will keep you there! We will continue to monitor all of your levels, not only testosterone but your entire hormone panel, which will signal to us if there is a need to add additional therapy such as anti-estrogen medication.  It is important to know the dangers of Illegal steroids. The risks include heart disease, high cholesterol, high blood pressure, testicular atrophy, infertility, prostate enlargement, acne vulgaris and depression.
